Wisbech Rose Fair window dressing contest
Traders across Wisbech are being urged to get involved with this year’s Rose Fair Window Dressing competition.
Wisbech Chamber of Commerce is once again running the window dressing competition next month. The themes are animated movies and classic heritage
Last year’s winners were the Norfolk Hospice Shop, in Union Street.
Hundreds of people will be flocking to Wisbech between Wednesday, July 1 and Sunday, July 5 for the annual Rose Fair.
Flowers will be adorning four churches in the town during the festival.
“Our Classical Heritage” will be theme in St Peter and St Paul’s Church while Wisbech Baptist Church follows ‘Know the name of Jesus’ .
“Bygone” is the theme for Trinity Methodist Church and the arrangements in the United Reformed Church follow a Biblical theme.
Wisbech Round Table have signed up more than 20 floats for the parades, which are held on Saturday, July 4.
Animated Movies is the theme of this year’s parade, which will also include walking bands and classic cars.
It is also hoped to have a Spitfire flypast on the day.
The parades will set off and finish from Queen’s Road at 11am and 2pm before winding through the Market Place, Church Terrace and Victoria Road.
