Wisbech school says farewell to longest serving teacher after nearly four decades




A Wisbech school's longest serving teacher, Gerwyn Williams, is retiring this summer after 35 years.

The DT and engineering teacher has taught thousands of young people during his time at the Thomas Clarkson Academy and in both its predecessors The Queen's School and the Thomas Clarkson Community College.

The Welshman moved to the area at the start of his career when he got a job at Smithdon High School in Hunstanton, where he taught for two years.
