Wisbech scout group enjoys 'in-tents' fun at camp out
Members of a local scout group enjoyed life under canvas when they took part in a recent camping expedition.
The 3rd Wisbech (St Augustine’s) Scout Group camped out at Wolferton near Sandringham, with members of all three sections joining the fun.
The Scouts slept in tents for three nights and the Cubs and Beavers for one night.
Among the activities enjoyed were a nature ramble, an incident hike, collecting wood, preparing and cooking food on open fires, a visit from King's Lynn astronomers and a large camp-fire with camp-fire songs.
A spokesperson for the scout group said: "The weather was perfect and all the children had a most enjoyable time. Many new skills were learnt by our Scouts in preparation for our summer camp in August."
