LEARN MOREThousands of people turned to enjoy the festive atmosphere at the annual Wisbech Christmas Lights Extravaganza on Sunday.
Town mayor Peter Human flicked the switch to light up the town centre for the Christmas season.
The afternoon was filled with festive cheer from live music, to tasty treats and of course the man himself, Father Christmas was there too with his friends from Wisbech Lions, offering children a photo opportunity and a chance to put in those all important present requests.
There was loads of live entertainment from Nine Lives Theatre Company performing songs from their upcoming Christmas show, the cast of the Angles Theatre's panto, as well as songs from the Clarkson Singers, dance from the Rosmini Centre Dancers and LJ's Dance Academy and finally Skarma, who closed the afternoon's fun.
There was also a giant snow globe for people to have a festive selfie taken too.
Posting on Facebook later in the day Wisbech Town Council leader Sam Hoy paid tribute to all those who had worked so hard to make the event such a huge success.
she said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came to the Christmas Lights Switch On. But I would mostly like to thank everyone that helped with the event."
