An editor of a prestigious architectural guide will be describing his work to members and friends of Wisbech Society.

The group will be continuing its winter lecture season with Revising Pevsner’s ‘Cambridgeshire’, in which editor Simon Bradley describes the fully revised volume

In a talk at the Dwight Centre, Wisbech Grammar School from 7.30pm on Monday, February 9, Mr Bradley, joint editor of the Pevsner Architectural Guides, published by Yale University Press, describes the work involved in creating the latest edition of The Buildings of England – Cambridgeshire.

Fully revised for the first time in 60 years, the new edition, published in October 2014, saw the entire county revisited. Wisbech proved especially rewarding, as Mr Bradley will explain, not only for its exceptionally interesting buildings but also for the opportunities they provided to discover more about their architects and history.

Admission is free for society members. Non-members are invited to attend the lecture at an admission cost of £3 while under 18s are invited to come along for free.
