Walpole St Andrew woman accused of owning taser disguised as torch has case sent to Norwich Crown Court




A woman who is accused of having a taser disguised as a torch in her possession will have her case heard at a crown court.

Lyne Whitby, 55, of Springfield Road, Walpole St Andrew, appeared in King’s Lynn’s Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and indicated no plea.

She is accused of owning a weapon for the discharge of electricity on 30 November 2022.

The bench of magistrates, led by William Hush, declined jurisdiction in the case and sent Whitby to Norwich Crown Court to indicate her plea.

She is due to appear at the court on June 29 and has been released on unconditional bail until that date.
