Woman in critical condition after being rescued from water-filled car

A woman was rescued from her water-filled Renault Clio after it left the road and turned upside down.

The 21-year-old from the Wisbech area is in a critical condition in hospital after police and the public entered a dyke off Ravens Bank, Holbeach St. Johns, to attempt to save the driver.

The incident happened on Sunday, December 27 at approximately 6.45pm.

No other people or vehicles were involved.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact us quoting the incident number 341 of December 27.
