Woman killed in fatal crash in Cambridgeshire yesterday

A woman has died following a collision on the A142 (Ely Road) near Sutton yesterday afternoon.

The woman, who was in her 40s, was a passenger in a black Jaguar X Type that was involved in a collision with a black Ford Transit, close to the Mepal Road roundabout at about 4.30pm.

The driver of the Jaguar X Type has serious, but not life threatening injuries, as a result of the collision and a baby girl was taken to hospital as a precaution. The driver of the Ford Transit received minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Road Policing Unit.
