Young artists design Wisbech academy’s Christmas cards

Talented art students at a Wisbech academy really pulled out all the stops when they designed Christmas cards to be sent out.

The standard of entry for the competition was really high, said the judges, and it was a tough job to decide the winners from years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

“They were all very good and we chose one to send out electronically on behalf of the academy, and another to use internally for staff. It was very difficult to decide between them and we were really impressed with them,” said Miss Peckover, executive assistant to the principal.

The Year 7 joint winners were Naomi and Nedas, Year 8 winner was Dimitru, Year 9 winner was Mya and Year 10 was Maja, who was also the overall winner. Her card was sent externally by email while internal recipients enjoyed Dimitru’s design.
