Wisbech Angles Theatre Youth Group's production of Frozen is a hot hit
Forty-two performers, five performances and tickets all sold out weeks in advance - there was never any doubt that the Angles Theatre Youth Group’s production of Frozen would be a hot hit.
“It was our first show since the pandemic so it was a really big thing for us” said producer and theatre trustee Rob Williams.
“The ages of those taking part ranged from nine to 18 and they were all just phenomenal. Every one of them.”
He said that they chose the Disney musical Frozen as their comeback show because it was released at the end of last year and was a big name with a high profile.
“All tickets were sold weeks ago, well before we had finished rehearsals” said Rob. “It was amazing to be performing a musical to an audience again after all this time. And every one of those taking part enjoyed themselves.”
With song, dance and stunning stage effects and costumes, they re-created their own version of the musical taking Anna, Elsa, and all of the favourite characters on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the real meaning of true love.
Based in Alexandra Road, Wisbech, the youth group offers young people a chance to train and perform in a working theatre.
