Florida and Bury St Edmunds the destinations for Three Counties Running Club members
Three Counties Running Club members participated in two very different events.
The Christmas Canter event hosted by Zig Zag Running, starting at Suffolk Running Centre in Bury St Edmunds, was another successful event on their race calendar.
The event was open to people who wanted to run from 5k to 10k, half and full marathons, and even Ultra distances and the route was on a 13.1-mile loop.
Craig Freestone compiled two loops of the course and then opted for the extra 10k in the hope he could get a new PB on the 50k distance.
Initially, he was disappointed when he crossed the finish line that he only got his third fastest time.
But his disappointment soon turned to exhilaration when he realised he had come first in the 50k race and had set a new 50k course record of 4:43:04.
Elsewhere, Lake Louisa 10k trail race, in Florida, was the venue for TCRC member Alice Ingman. There was the chance to run 5k,10k, half or full marathon, running through stunning trails. .
Ingman enjoyed a fantastic run to finish first in her age category in a time of 1:09:16.
