Parker wins her first game in Wisbech Table Tennis League

With only two matches remaining before the end of the season, Carol Parker won her first game for Ramblers, over Paul Gay of Warlords. But it was cold comfort for Ramblers as Warlords ran out 9-1 winners, with man of the match Guntars Briedis and Kevin Buck recording maximums.

When Trojans faced The Inbetweeners at Alive Lynnsport, no one could stop recent Open Championship winner Wayne Mason. However, even Wayne was overshadowed by another great performance from David Lemmon. The Inbetweeners replied with both Kiddles recording victories over Steve Mason. Final result 8-2.

Batmen took on Eagles and found the going hard,as expected. Owen Turner and Ian Owen both took maximums. Vaughan Parker stopped the whitewash with a good victory over Jim Bell. Final result 9-1.

Wanderers drew the short straw this week and played runaway league leaders Wisbech Wizards. As hard as they tried, Wanderers' night was to prove fruitless as Wizards sauntered to a 10-0 win. Alan Ashberry, once again, performed his brick wall impersonation to fine effect, making him man of the match.

Closest match of the week was the Wisbech Spartans 6-4 against two-man Pegg Scaffolding. Keith Phillips for Spartans was in unbeatable form, which included the doubles with Steve Goodale. For Peggs, Jack Mason and Martin Skippers both scored victories over Steve Goodale and Graham Sheppard.
