A night of action in King’s Lynn to be talked about for years

There was a simply stunning night of Stock Car Racing at King’s Lynn where a night of action which will be talked about for years saw Canterbury’s Jacob Bromley crowned the 1300 Stock Car World Champion and Bedford’s Adam O Dell the new 2L Stock Car British Champion.

Fenland had several drivers looking to qualify for the World Final through the last chance which was a race which was punctured with several stoppages for rollovers and hard-hitting crashes. Lee Green was best local finisher in seventh place but with only the top five qualifying for the World Final he missed out but did still qualify for the World Masters which was the meeting final.

Local father and son duo Dean and John Moat had both qualified for the World Final and had a good race, making steady progress throughout. Dean came home in sixth place after starting in grid position 24 while John finished in 11th after starting in 28th. Both of them qualified for the meeting final. A great drive by Karl Morris saw him also qualify for the meeting final with a sixth place in the Consolation.

Dean Moat was in great form in the World Masters Final, coming home in third place.

The 2L Stock Cars were also brilliant all night with Sam Parrin coming home in a fantastic eleventh place. Dave Polley just missed out on winning the final in the F2 Stock Cars, coming home in second place to Jack Issit.

A massive weekend of racing action takes place at King’s Lynn this weekend with three meetings. Nigel Riley has been a long-time stalwart of National Banger racing and Saturday (5pm) and Sunday (1pm) will see a testimonial event take place for him with racing also taking place on Monday (1pm) when the annual Big Van Banger meeting takes place with racing also coming from 1500cc Bangers and Reliant Robins.

These events are all expected to be sellouts and are advance ticket only. There will be no tickets on sale on the day. Tickets are available to be purchased from the Trackstar Website at www.stockcar-racing.co.uk
