Three Counties runners tackle two events
It was a very warm Sunday morning when Three Counties Running Club members tackled two events.
Some took part in the Sandringham 5k and half marathon race, around the Royal Estate and surrounding roads and trails.
Ewa Szczygielska took part in the 5k race and the heat didn’t stop her having a fantastic run, knocking 10 minutes off last year’s time finishing in a fantastic CPB time of 31:47.
Other members tacked the challenge of the half marathon.
Daniel Barnes finished in a great time of 1:33:37, Jayne Spurrier 2:04:12, Anne-Marie Mattless 2:29:13 and Lou Mayer 2:42:44.
Another great event that TCRC love to enter is the Green Wheel Relay, a seven stage race starting and finishing at The Athletics Arena, Bishops Road, Peterborough. The total distance is 50 miles and follows the Green Wheel cycle route.
Again the weather was hot, but all members had a fantastic run:
