Holbeach & District Angling Club returned for 2022 action at Cement Bridge

After what seemed a long closed season, The Holbeach & District members were more than ready for a return to club matches.
The club headed to Foremans Bridge (Cement Bridge) on the South Holland main drain for the opening match.
Winning on the day from Peg 7 was Andrew Kilby.
He had a nice net of roach with the odd perch mixed in for 4lb 9oz.
In second place was Tom Gotobed. Hee was at Peg 4 with a total weight of 4lb 5, and in third place was Chris Newton with 4lb 2oz and a bonus eel from peg 17.
Most of the lads caught a few fish on what proved to be a tricky but enjoyable first day of the season.
With the season heating up, the next match is the Pin Lewis memorial match at Sharps Bridge in Spalding.
