The COVID-19 lockdown has shortened the season this year, but March Golf Club plan to still hold all the Honours Board competitions, so results are coming through thick and fast.

The Morton Cup, another strokeplay competition, was won by Ashley Miles. Playing off 28, he finished with net 64. Second was Gary Tinnion (16 handicap) with net 65. Max Russell (13 h’cap) and Mark Athow (20h’cap) both finished on net 67, but Max was awarded third place on countback.

Last Monday evening, 12 mixed pairs dodged the showers, competing for the Johnson Goblets in an 18 hole mixed foursomes stableford format.

In a very close competition, winners were Dawn and Mike Robinson. It was a well deserved victory, as playing in the final group, they had to endure the rain the longest.
