Andy victorious at Tydd Gote competition
The majority of the 35 pegs at Main Road were taken for the latest Tydd Gote Angling Club Sunday club match.
With clear skies and little or no breeze it was always going to be a tough day. End pegs play a big part on days like this and so it proved as Andy Spencer on peg and Bob Bates on peg 29 battled it out for the honours.
Andy fished pinkie over groundbait and hemp from the concrete at around 6m for some nice roach, perch and skimmers for 6lb 5oz and that was enough to edge Bob’s level 6lb from the opposite end of the match length, also to pinkie over groundbait at around 5m.
