Kaufman quits Wisbech St Mary
Wisbech St Mary FC has been rocked by the resignation of first team manager Alex Kaufman and his assistant Ash Taylor and it looks like several players Kaufman brought in may quit the club too.
The news comes just a week after Brett Whaley left Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League division one north rivals March Town to join Wisbech Town, the Hares appointing Arran Duke.
Striker Corey Kingston has revealed this evening that he is leaving Saints to join United Counties League premier division strugglers Pinchbeck United and Jake Miller is also understood to be leaving.
It is rumoured Kaufman is on his way to Cambridgeshire Premier League title contenders Cambridge University Press.
The Saints said in a statement: "The club is disappointed to announce that Alex Kaufman has left his position as first team manager. He leaves for various personal and coaching reasons including providing the opportunity for the club to bring in a more local manager. We would like to place on record our thanks to Alex for his hard work during his tenure and wish him well for the future."
The club now invite applications for the position of first team manager. Please apply in the strictest confidence to email@example.com
