March Athletics Club in action all over the world

March AC once again had runners taking on various different events all across the world.

Firstly, a large group made the short trip to Peterborough for the Great Eastern Run. The club came back with a heap of successes.

Niall Jackson was first home for the club as he finished in 1:25:06 for the half marathon. He was followed closely by Kanina O'Neil, who continued her form from the Chester Marathon to power her to a superb time of 01:25:18.

In his debut half marathon, Mark Godfrey was third to cross the line for the club as he completed his furthest race to date in 01:26:50. Tim Brammer was the fourth home in 01:29.07.

The day just kept getting better and better for March AC as Henrik Stoner, Oliver Goodwin and James Arran all earned PBs with phenomenal performances.

Graeme Dedman also took a chunk off his previous best, while Aisleen Parker and Smita Gupta made the jump to completing their first half marathon race.

Another group of March AC athletes travelled to Palma and used the opportunity to put their running skills to the test abroad – and they didn't disappoint.

Jason Mottram and Andrew Wool took to the marathon event and both had superb runs despite stormy conditions.

Jason led the way in 03:54:46, followed by club mate Andrew in 03:56:14.

The club also had two participants in the half marathon distance. Dawn Veal was first back as she had a brilliant run to achieve a time of 02:09:00, while Stephen Cowell followed in 02:39:19.

Club chairman Mark Darlow was competing in the 9k and had a fantastic run, finishing in 58 minutes and 58 seconds.
