Wisbech St Mary's new-look squad ready for first league game on Saturday
Wisbech St Mary have made more key signings ahead of Saturday’s opening league fixture against Needham Market Reserves.
The Saints have added former King’s Lynn Town player Liam Fryatt to the squad as well as Fernand Bass, who returns to the FTL Commercials Stadium after enjoying a brief spell there last season.
After a torrid 2019/20 season the Saints can be a lot more positive about the upcoming Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League Division One North campaign.
The new team of manager Stuart Beckett, assistant Johnny Alflatt and coach Paul Faulkner have been busy in the summer putting a new-look squad together.
Forwards Ryan Lennon and Dale Parnell have both signed along with former Spurs trainee Christian Carter, keepers Brad Stewart and Joe Tarris, Adam Steels, Gino Livoti, Brad Lake, Curtis Knight, Peter Sinclair and Eddie Sakovich.
Former King’s Lynn, Wisbech Town and Holbeach midfielder Danny Setchell is also on board.
From last season’s squad, Andy Willmott, Jordan Goult, Aidan Sewell and Matty Harris-Hercules have all been retained.
The Saints signed off their pre-season games with a 2-0 home victory against Cambridgeshire League side AFC Walpole on Saturday.
