Murley is regional ladies' cycling champion

More news, no ads

Once again Becky Murley brought home the honours to Wisbech Wheelers with her performance in the Eastern Counties Cycling Association 'Scratch' 25 mile TT.

Her time of 57.01 in the strong NE wind made her Ladies Champion in the Eastern Counties for the distance.

Meanwhile, 70 year-old Roger Sewell once again showed his continuing domination of the 70+ category with a remarkable 56.59 in the far from perfect conditions.

With the Wisbech '10' course temporarily out of action a small contingent rode the King's Lynn event last Wednesday evening against even stronger winds.

Jon Talbot was in fourth position overall with a very respectable 22.41 and worthy of mention also is Wisbech rider, 60+ John Bates, who rode strongly to record 24.37 on the night.
