Parson Drove face biggest test of the season against league leaders Holland
Arran Duke’s Parson Drove side face their biggest test of the season when they entertain league leaders Holland on Saturday.
After finishing second from bottom in each of their first two seasons in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League First Division North after stepping up from the Peterborough League, Drove have really progressed this season.
They currently sit ninth in the table, just three points from the play-off places, after comprehensively beating visitors Leiston U23 4-0 on Saturday, with Matteo Perkins netting his 13th of the season, Brad Easey notching his seventh and Matthew Prudence and Alex Vincent also on target.
This Saturday’s visitors, from Holland-on-Sea in Essex, are currently 10 points ahead of Drove in the table having also played 21 games but have drawn their last two outings, 2-2 at Holbeach United and 0-0 at home to Great Yarmouth Town.
Drove have won six and drawn one of their last eight fixtures so should be a great test for the leaders.
