Brooke Kitson lights up action at BriSCA MiniStox stock car racing in King's Lynn
Brooke Kitson was the star of the show at the most recent stock car races in King's Lynn.
Mechanical problems had forced Daz Kitson to pull out of the F1 Stock Car entry last Saturday.
However, his daughter was on hand to try and uphold family honour in the BriSCA MiniStox - which is a stock car formula for 11-16 year olds.
Daz will no doubt have been taking notes as Brooke was in sensational form, enjoying her best ever meeting in the formula.
Things didn’t go to plan in the first heat when she was spun out by eventual winner Mason Whittle whilst lying in third place, but she recovered well to place 12th by the time she reached the chequered flag.
From then on, Brooke made no mistake as she showed the rest of the field a clean pair of wheels to win the second heat.
She then repeated the feat in the final to take her first ever feature race success.
The commanding and fearless way that Brooke drove to take both victories indicates that more victories will soon be coming her way.
Tommy Parrin was Fenland's only local driver in the 2L Stock Cars - with cousin Sam on holiday - and he will be pleased to have earned a top ten finish after struggling on shale in 2022.
A spin on the first lap of the first heat saw him back in 22nd place, but he pushed forward after that issue to come home in 13th place when the chequered fell.
Tommy then went on to enjoy a great race in his second heat, coming home in third.
However, he suffered more problems on the final when lying in fourth spot - which saw him lose a lot of ground before clawing his way back up to tenth by the end.
Racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena in King’s Lynn this Saturday, when the annual 2L Banger Team Meeting will be taking place.
This will be the first of two events which will be helping to raise awareness of the importance of men’s mental health and raising some funds for the charity CALM.
James Licquorice will be in action for the Dover Boys in this one.
Also racing are the 1300 Stock Cars and the Junior Bangers, where John Moat and Sonny Wright will be full of confidence following their sensational performances in the formula at Lynn a couple of weeks ago.
They will be joined by Dean Moat.
The Junior Bangers, which completes the action, will see the entrants include Jade Ellis, Levi Murkin and brother and sister duo Rhys and Hannah Parrin.
If last weekend's racing is anything to go by, viewers will be in for a brilliant range of events.
