Burghley Estate marks the start of latest event for Three Counties Running Club members
Three Counties Running Club took part in a very damp, but scenic, Burghley race.
The Burghley 7 is a fantastic seven-mile event, starting at Burghley Estate in the beautiful town of Stamford taking in the stunning landmarks and surrounding countryside.
Burghley House was completed in 1587 and the first Burghley 7 event was held in 2020.
The main route is on tarmac with a small grass finish area.
It was a very damp start for the 1330 runners who had signed up for the hilly course but this didn’t stop members from having a great run with one member, Louise West, running her furthest distance to date.
Alice Ingman was the first member home for the club in 1:11:17 (PB), Rachael Elliot 1:13:52 (PB), Janette Smith and Louise West 1:21:31 (PB) and Sandra Rhodes 1:21:32.
Club member Donna Johnson completed a fantastic achievement of running 150 parkruns supported by club members and friends.
