Chatteris Tennis Club beat Buckden and Fulbourn in mixed and mens matches

Chatteris Tennis Club are celebrating some fabulous recent results – with two teams in particular enjoying strong wins.

The mixed team of Hayley Sizer, Roz Fitches, David Woolley and Rob Fordham stormed to a 7-1 win at home last week over Fulbourn.

Making her team debut, Fitches put away some excellent volleys – while David Woolley was also making his first appearance in the mixed team.

Elsewhere, playing away at Buckden, the men’s second team also came home victorious, again winning 7-1.

Thesquad of Pat Amps, Matt Sizer, Jamie Chilcott and David Woolley played consistently well to secure the win.

Commenting on the team’s results, club chairman Simon Grainger said: “Our teams are gaining some superb results this season, with highly competitive tennis being played at both home and away fixtures.”
