Harry Gowler stars as March beat Wisbech 3rds in cricket Ernie Wool Cup derby at The Avenue
March Sunday Seconds took another step towards the Ernie Wool Cup final when they beat Wisbech 3rds in a derby by three wickets at The Avenue.
Teenager Harry Gowler (pictured) took 3-26 during the Wisbech innings of 156-8, with skipper Sam Mason returning 2-20.
March made a jittery start after tea but eased home with over three overs remaining.
Adam Conyard struck his highest score of the season for the home team.

March 3rds have four matches left to get out of the relegation zone in CCA Junior League Division 3N, following a six-wicket defeat at Doddington to Longstanton 2nds.
March managed 135 with top-scorer Jacob Gray taking a nasty blow to the eye as he and Craig Worley battled in a fourth wicket stand.
Manuj Patel bowled well but the visitors romped home with more than eight overs to spare.

March 4th XI won their first CCA Junior League Division 4N match of the season, beating Sutton 2nds by three wickets.

Veteran Dennis Furnell got the visitors off to a good start before 14-year-old Phoenix Nightingale scored his maiden half-century to seal victory with four balls remaining.
