The Saturday 2nds knocked leaders Godolphin off top spot and now lead CCA Senior League Division 1 following a 51-run victory away from home.
David Hodson set the tone at the top of the order with virtually a run-a-ball knock of 61.
He put on 58 for the opening stand with man of the match Matty Vail (25).
Tommy Howgego (24) and skipper Rob Tombs (22) added to the score before the two batsmen in form, Nigel Wright (53no and Jacob Gray (29), put 55 runs together for the fifth wicket in the 242-7 total.
March didn’t have everything their own way after tea as the home side’s batsmen opened up with a first wicket stand of 137.
The visitors also bowled 31 wides.
Vail made the breakthrough with his slow left-armers, taking two wickets in one over to return figures of 3-22.
Tombs then matched his wicket haul for 3-44, as Godolphin were dismissed for 191.
