Andy Wright will skipper March Town Cricket Club in 2020 Whitings League replacing Tyler Phillips

Andy Wright will skipper March Town Cricket Club in Whitings League Division 1 this season, having being appointed club captain at last Tuesday night’s AGM.

The right-arm opening bowler takes over from Tyler Phillips, who stepped down after four years at the helm. Wright had previous been vice-captain of the Saturday 1st XI and skippered the Sunday 1st XI during their 2016 and 2017 campaigns.

That was just one of many sweeping changes on the playing front, where five of the six sides will have a new captain in place come the spring. Sam Clarke will not only be Wright’s vice-captain, but also skippers the Sunday first team as well.
