March Town Cricket Club held their annual early season “members evening” on Friday night.

More than 70 members attended and enjoyed an excellent buffet prepared by club members Catherine Henshaw, Karen West, Angie Kenning and Catherine Goakes.

A draw took place with the first prize of Cricket World Cup tickets for the West Indies v Pakistan game at Trent Bridge, Nottingham which was won by Rob Tombs.

• March Town Cricket Club are hosting “Walking Cricket” sessions again this season.

First one hour session starts tomorrow (Thursday, May 9) from 10am to 11am. It’s fun, social and a great form of exercise for all abilities. All equipment provided. Tea and coffee afterwards.

Open to everyone; no need to book and it costs £2 a session.

• Wisbech Town CC are launching their new venture for the 2019 summer. Ladies Cricket & Softball is on Mondays, 6-7.30pm, at Wisbech Cricket Club. It starts on May 13 for 10 weeks. All welcome and it caters for all ranges of ability or fitness.
