March Crows win annual clash against David Softley XI

The annual David Softley XI against March Crows T/20 game was played at March on Friday night.

March Crows batted first and scored 182 for 6.

Lewis Welcher 53 not out and Ash Impey 55 not out were the top scorers.

Dave Softley took 2 for 28 and Carl Chapman 2 for 21.

In reply, David Softley's X1 scored 168 for 6.

Rob Tombs 53 not out, Matt Vail 37 and Nigel Wright 29 were the main contributors.

Sam Clarke took 3 for 7 off three overs.

During and after the game, the Fenland Roaster cooked a barbecue for all the players and spectators.

The game was sponsored by the Mayor of March, Andrew Woollar,d who ran a successful raffle to raise £378 for Youth Charities and projects in March.
