Dave ‘Boy’ Green presents trophy at Chatteris

Toby Herbert (17) scored a noticeable win boxing on Ernie’s Gym ABC show at Chatteris on Saturday night.

Representing Sparta ABC of March, in a rematch from an earlier close encounter in November, Herbert took on Travis Biddle from Kettering ABC, who is three-times East Midland champion.

The first round saw Herbert outscoring the Kettering boxer with volleys of combinations and a higher work rate, constantly driving Biddle back towards the ropes.

Despite suffering a heavy cold Herbert again in round two kept Biddle busy on the defence.

In round three the effects of illness slowed his progress, but all the early hard work was enough to give Herbert his best win of his young boxing career.
