The depleted Fenmen fielded three loan players as they went down to a second Pitching In Northern Premier League Midland Division defeat in two games.

Wisbech pulled in Peterborough Sports trio Mitch Griffiths, James Stevenson and Mark Jones as they faced the Steelmen.

They were missing defenders Liam Marshall (unavailable) and Jack Keeble (injured), midfielder Oli Williams and striker Avi Vieira (both Covid).

After a goalless first half, James Tague gave Corby a 48th minute lead, slotting in at the back post. Stephen Diggin made it 2-0 seven minutes later, latching on to a short back pass from Jon Fairweather.

Assistant referees for the match were husband and wife Richard and Stacey Fullicks, which was a first for Step 4 football and above.
