Dave Simmonds impressed at Tydd Gote Angling Club's latest summer league match

Some added colour in the water added to some great fishing at Tydd Gote.

With expectations high, Dave 'Victor' Simmonds stormed to victory from Peg 5.

He was comfortably out in front with a haul of 4lb 10oz of quality roach to pinkie over groundbait.

With some nice nets of silvers being found across the board, Dennis Houghton continued his title charge.

Now virtually un-catchable in the summer points league, je finished second at the weekend with 3lb 6oz from Peg 7.

Martyn Thomas secured a fine third-place finish with 2lb 12oz from Peg 8.
