Stock Car racing returns to King’s Lynn for Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds
Stock Car and Banger Racing returns to King’s Lynn this Saturday (5.30pm) when the Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds takes centre stage, with racing also coming from the 2L Stock Cars and Reliant Robins, writes Paul Butler.
Elm driver Nicky Young will be the main local star competing in the Unlimited Banger War of the Worlds as he looks to go on track for the Wild Boyz and put in a good performance.
Known for their ability to both pick up points and go out and put an entertaining display on for the crowd, both the Wild Boyz and Young can be expected to be at the fore of whatever they intend to do on Saturday – be it point scoring or entertaining.
Max Stott, Tommy Parrin, Jacob Downey and Scott Greenslade are all booked to be in action in the 2L Stock Cars.
The 2L Stock Cars were in action in their British Championship last weekend where all four drivers were in action.
The only driver with any notable success over the weekend was Downey, who had a win in the last chance race and also had a third place in one of the All Comers races.
None of our local drivers featured in the top ten of the British Championship, which was won by Deane Mayes.
They will all be looking to get a good set of results this coming Saturday.
Completing the action are the Reliant Robins, where National Points Champion Roy Gedge will be looking to extend his lead at the top of the chart as he defends the silver roof.
