Fenland Running Club family members impress

A beautiful morning on Saturday proved to be a family affair for Fenland Running Club.

The King’s Lynn ParkRun saw Ian Milburn participate with his daughter Claudia, who came in 13th out of 263 finishers.

At Bedford Harriers’ annual 20 mile race, Ade Mills ran a great race in 3:08:26.

At Sawtry’s Walk to Run 10 mile race, out of 209 finishers, Graham Milham came in 29th (1.10.02), Tom Richards 35th (1.12.13) and Jacs Richards 133rd (1.33.38).

FRC members and triathletes participated in the Louth Triathlon.

A heated pool swim was followed by the bike section - a calm affair along some quiet Lincolnshire country roads. Although a relatively flat course, the route has been described as a great bike ride ‘as it doesn’t allow you to stay in the saddle’.

The run was along the country lanes of Louth and alongside the disused Railway Walk.

The triathlon afforded chip timing, secure transition areas, regular water stations and a bespoke finisher medal. Splits not including transition were: swim 11:48, bike 1:08 and run 1:48 for FRC member Sarah.
