Three Counties members battle it out at the Fen 10
Three Counties Running Club were well represented at The Fen10 last weekend.
This event is a lovely race hosted by Fenland Running Club with a field of 300 runners.
There were some fantastic results for TCRC runners with loads of PBs and personal achievements while some runners used it as a long training run in preparation for building up the miles for next year's marathons.
The first home for the club in a fantastic PB time was Simon Killen in 58:58.
Killen finished ninth overall out of the 261 starters and came first in his age category.
Next home, smashing out PBs were Katie Vargeson in 27th with 1:05:07, Richard Allen 45th in 1:07:17 and James Hall 79th in 1:14:25.
There was then a nice continuous flow of TCRC representatives crossing the finish line in some great times.
Times: Alfie Grant 1:18:18, Craig Freestone 1:23:40 (after already running the course beforehand to get 20 miles in), Claire Smithee 1:29:21, Donna Johnson 1:33:32 with a massive PB, Laura Vincent 1:42:21, Anna Holland 1:42:22, Sarah Lamb 1:47:10, Steve Whitelam 1:49:42, Rachael Elliot 1:52:45 (PB) and Lorraine Parker 1:56:32(supporting).
TCRC all volunteered at one of the water stations on route and had a great time cheering on the runners.
Thanks to Tracey Else, Debbie Agger, Les Phillips, Lesley Phillips, Janette Smith, Zoe Gourley, Matt Hunter and Sarah-Jane Macdonald.
