Fenland Running Club members impressed at the Heckington 10-mile event
Fenland Running Club members went all-out in their recent race.
They travelled to the returning Heckington ten-mile event, which took place in cool and dry conditions.
This was a welcome change for the club, who have had to battle torrential rain and storm winds at the race in recent years.
Entry was limited due to Covid-19 restrictions, and racers were sent off in waves of 25 people to allow for social distancing.
This did mean some runners had a lonely experience in a field of just 120.
Fenland had three runners at the event.
Steve Bennington finished 49th overall after securing an impressive time of 1:12:19.
Tom Richards wasn't far behind, finishing in 55th spot in a time of 1:13:19.
Carol Bowett placed 63rd after ahieving a personal best time of 1:16:55.
