Fenland drivers to battle it out at four-formula festival in King’s Lynn
A four-formula festival of banger racing takes place at King’s Lynn this Saturday (5pm).
Lining up for action are the 2L bangers, 1600cc bangers, junior bangers and Unlimited Lady Bangers.
All formulas will be racing for the “Caged Open” with the meeting being supported by one of the sport’s popular social media groups.
The 2L bangers will be racing in the second 2025 World Qualifier with the 1600cc bangers contesting the final National Championship Qualifying Round.
It will be a busy night for two drivers who have risen to the top in the formula this season with current National Points leader Brad Bartram and Entertainer League leader James Licquorice both competing in both formulas.
Both drivers have had a sensational 2024 and are both firmly established as fan favourites and both will be extremely deserving champions should they stop at the top of their respective leaderboards come the end of the season.
This pairing will be joined by Jack Maryon in the 2L bangers.
Mayron is another driver who has put in some great performances whenever he has raced this season.
He recently came third in the Micro Banger UK Championship for the second season in succession and has also been putting in some good performances in the 2L stock cars in recent months.
Joel Allen will be joining Bartram and Licquorice in the 1600cc bangers.
Allen is another highly rated driver who can race with the quickest out there as well as putting in a crowd-pleasing crashing performance when the situation needs it.
The unlimited lady bangers have their biggest meeting of the season with the Gold Roof up for grabs.
Former champion Danielle Ellis will be on the grid together with Carly Geeves.
Following a couple of years where she has been the dominant driver in the formula, it is fair to say that Ellis has not enjoyed the most success this season but she knows she needs to rise to the big occasion and will certainly be a big threat to the other drivers on track.
As usual, there will be a large number of junior bangers who will be taking to the track including Levi Murkin, Taylor Morton, Jade Ellis, Archie Horwood, Lincoln Douglas, Riley Crowson and Kiean Mays.
