LEARN MOREFenland Flyers held their annual open competition at Wisbech’s Thomas Clarkson Academy, with more than 200 competitors from ten clubs throughout the east region taking part.
Fenland Flyers entered 56 gymnasts, 17 of those competing for the first time, with many of them under the age of 9 years.
The children had an amazing time, and all completed their routines to the best of their ability. For some of the club’s more elite performers this was an ideal opportunity to try out new moves in their routines.
Fenland Flyers gymnasts took away 34 individual medals and seven team titles, which is an amazing achievement from everyone who took part.
Adele Broda, head coach, said: “I am so proud of all our trampolinists who took part in the competition. I would also like to say a massive thank you to all our coaches, parents, and carers for all the time they have given up during the weekend.
“Without the help of Eastern Rent a Van, who provided transport, and Marshland High School for the loan of extra equipment, we would not have been able to run the event.”
