Fenland Running Club hosts annual Fen 10

With a large number of the Fenland Running Club members being involved in the set-up, marshalling and overall running of their annual 10-mile Fen 10 event, it was left to a few to fly the flag as competitors within the 259-strong field.

The event starts in West Walton and, having meandered across the Fenland droves, dykes and lanes of a number of its village communities it returns to West Walton and the cheering crowds close to the school for the finish.

Fenland Running Club had three of its members representing them and all put in impressive performances on a flat and generally fast course that lends itself well to anyone seeking that PB.

The weather also played its part this year making conditions just about ideal and helping make it a success in every sense.

Of course, these events would not be possible without the support of the local communities and the club members would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
