Outwell Swifts, Wisbech Town Reserves, Manea United, March Academy, Leverington Sports Reserves and Chatteris Town Reserves all progress in North Cambs Junior Cup




Cup wins were the order of the day for Outwell Swifts, Wisbech Town Reserves, Manea United, March Academy, Leverington Sports Reserves and Chatteris Town Reserves in the North Cambs Junior Cup at the weekend.

Jack Rudkin, Matthew Walshe and Dalton Jolly sealed Chatteris' place in the next round with a 3-0 win at Thorney.

Swifts triumphed 3-1 at Benwick Athletic thanks to goals from Adan-Jay Lewiss, Ben Garner and Ryan Alexander.

Wisbech Town Reserves recorded a 4-1 win over March Town A in a derby clash with Connor Bancans netting the Hares' consolation.

Theodore Willis registered a brace for Manea United in a 4-2 success over Wimblington Reserves.

Jacob Kightly and Roberrt Minden also found the back of the net for the hosts with Michael Randall and Jamie Whitehouse replying for Wimblington.

Jack Conyard and Joshua Kirby were both on target as March Academy edged past Whittlesey Athletic Development 2-1 while Leverington Sports Res secured a 3-1 win at Wisbech Town Acorns, who netted through Ryan Brocklehurst.

March Town Reserves held their nerve from the penalty spot as they progressed in the Cliff Bullen Challenge Cup at home to Sawston Rovers.

Daniel Granger and Ted Payne squandered early opportunities for the Cambs Senior A outfit, Casey Logan saw his effort tipped over the woodwork while March had strong appeals for a penalty turned down in either half.

The Hares had Adam Mills sent off as the tie finished goalless before booking their passage into the next round with a 5-3 win from the spot.

March penalty scorers were: Joshua Bryant, Liam Monaghan, Luca Middleton, Casey Logan and Konrad Kuczek.

In the William Coad League Cup, Wisbech St Mary Res saw off AFC Mildenhall with Brandon Hedge (2), Ethan Goodale, Aaron McKenna and Tristian Jones all on the scoresheet.

Callum Taylor notched a hat-trick for Wisbech St Mary Development A in a 4-0 win at Beach in the John Ablett Cup.

Reece Gibson was also on target for Wisbech St Mary Development A, who had Alfie Davis sent-off for picking up two yellow cards.

Division 4C leaders AEK United dropped their first points of the campaign after a 1-1 draw at Wisbech St Mary B.

Adam Key scored for the Saints, who had Billy Fowler sent off, with Kensey Carter replying for AEK.

Mepal and Sutton Reserves defeated Chatteris Town A 5-1 as George Rayner (2), Harvey Miller, Chris Silvain and Kai Thrower netted for the hosts and Stanley Leach replied for the visitors.

Outwell Swifts Reserves also scored five goals in a 5-2 victory over Manea United Reserves who had Freddie Bishop and Harry Newman on the scoresheet.

In the last eight of the Peterborough League Senior Cup, Leverington Sports beat Chatteris Town 5-4 on penalties after the tie had finished locked at 1-1, Casey Stonnell-Fitzgerald scoring for the Lillies.

Tydd Reserves continued their climb up the Division Two table with their fifth successive win in league and cup games.

Marley Hamilton, Brandon Harker, Jordi Henson and Kai Scott-Henson were all on target in a 4-1 derby demolition against Sutton Bridge United who replied through Alex Clements-Limb.

In Division Three, Darren Hempson's goal wasn't enough for Leverington Sports A, who went down 3-1 at Stanground Cardea Sports Reserves while Long Sutton Athletic Reserves were beaten 3-0 at Park Farm Pumas A.

In Division One of the North West Norfolk League, Marshland Saints were beaten 6-1 at home by Terrington Tigers Youth.
