Driver Dean bounces back at King’s Lynn Adrian Flux Arena
There was another action packed night of stock car racing at the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn on Saturday night.
Three formulas were in action with the F1, V8 and 1300 Stock Cars all in action.
The main local interest was in the 1300 stock cars where several local drivers were amongst the 50-plus car entry.
The 1300 stock cars were superbly action-packed all evening with non-stop action taking place all around the tracks, with the big grids of cars providing plenty of spectacular incidents.
Wisbech race ace Anthony Kerr found himself an early victim of the race action when he rolled his car in the White Top Race with the resulting damage ruling him out for the rest of the evening.
The main race of the evening was the European Championship for the 1300 stock cars. Dean Moat managed to qualify through this race as he came home a strong second place to Kent’s Tom Keep.
Unfortunately no local drivers managed to place in the top ten of the action- packed European, which was won by London veteran George Morphey.
Moat bounced back with two great drives in the All Comers races, coming home in second and fourth place, and Karl Morris also finally had something to show for his night’s work with a ninth place finish in the second all comers after producing several great drives earlier in the evening, but having nothing to show after getting caught up in other people’s incidents.
Racing returns to King’s Lynn on Bank Holiday Monday when the Big Vans, 2L Non Mondeo Bangers, Micro Bangers and 2L Stock Cars are all in action.
The lively trio of Jack and James Licquorice and Jack Maryon will all be in action in the Micro Bangers, whilst Tommy Parrin is booked to appear in the 2L stock cars.
