Fans' favourite Hart back at Wisbech
Wisbech Town manager Brett Whaley has secured the return of fans' favourite Aaron Hart from Southern League side Yaxley.
The 21-year-old right back made 72 starts for the Fenmen with a further 12 appearances from the bench in his previous stints which started with a youth loan from Peterborough United in September 2017.
Aaron joined Yaxley in the summer and, after an early season injury, ironically sustained in a friendly against Wisbech, had made six appearances for the Cuckoos before the recent lockdown halted the season.
Whaley said: "In our short period in charge last season I felt Azza was one of our better players, so I’m delighted to have him back on board. He’s got experience of the league and the club, and strengthens us massively.
"The squad is looking much stronger than when we went into lockdown, and we now need to prepare for whenever the restart is confirmed."
The Fenmen have also signed attacking player Rodrigo Silva, defender Kyle Davison and midfielder Dan Dougill in recent weeks.
