Wisbech players, fans and volunteers are recognised at presentation evening following the club’s survival in the United Counties League Premier Division North




The efforts of Wisbech Town players were recognised at the end-of-season presentation night at the weekend.

The Fenmen, who were involved in a United Counties League Premier Division North relegation scrap for the majority of the season, secured their league status on the penultimate game of the campaign.

Sam Harris was named as the manager's player of the year, with Will Lakin picking up the players' player accolade and Sam Bennett receiving the “Gordon Smith” Supporters’ Player.

Tim and Paul Riches were named as supporters of the season, while special thanks were made to Dave Rawson, Zoe Sandle and Wendy Ketteringham

During his speech, manager Luke Hipwell thanked the club volunteers and also praised the fantastic support the first team have received this season, both home and away.
