Wisbech Town sign King's Lynn Town striker on loan
Wisbech Town have turned to near-neighbours King's Lynn Town to bring in a striker on loan.
The Fenmen have brought in academy graduate Theo Hudson, 17, on a month's deal from the Linnets.
King's Lynn manager Tommy Widdrington said: “This is a good opportunity for Theo as we all feel he needs to experience senior football now to further his development.
“That doesn’t necessarily mean here at Kings Lynn at this time and, although he has trained the entire pre-season with the first team squad, I’m sure he will improve further for the experience he gains at Wisbech Town.”
Young prospect Hudson caught the eye of the Lynn boss towards the end of last season as the young teenager penned his pro deal at The Walks.
“Theo Hudson is young, raw and enthusiastic," said Widdrington during the summer.
"We had a look at him towards the end of last season after an in-house game with the Academy group and felt he may well affect ours.
“Having returned to pre-season with the first team he is looking to push on with his development. It’s a great thing for any young player to sign his first contract. We all hope he fulfils the potential seen.”
Hudson could feature in Wisbech Town's home game against Skegness Town this evening.
