First win of the season for Parson Drove but defeat for Whittlesey Athletic

Parson Drove got their first points on the board this season with a 2-0 victory over Holbeach United last night, but Whittlesey Athletic were beaten by the same score at FC Peterborough.

Jack Kent opened the scoring after three minutes for a Drove side that had lost 4-1 at Wroxham Reserves on Saturday. The visiting Tigers had made a winning start to the Thurlow Nunn First Division North campaign, but were two down when Winston Bayole struck after the break, and that’s the way it stayed.

In the same division, Whittlesey and FC Peterborough had both enjoyed opening day victories, but it was the City side who made it two wins from two, with a penalty from Derick Dadzie just before half-time and a second from David Yisah seven minutes into the second half.
