Hares disappointed with 2-3 loss away in STech Prem League
Histon Town Development 3 March Town Ladies 2
The Hares were disappointed with a 2-3 loss away to Histon Town Development in the STech Prem League.
Louise Barbour gave March Town the lead early with an excellent shot into the far corner after good work from Adele Munday and Chas Miller.
Emma Searle doubled the advantage with a strong run from defence and a top finish from outside the area.
Histon hit back when they scored on the third attempt after two saves from Tori Sharpe.
They then equalised with a freak own goal when Searle deflected a cross into the net. Miller had a header from a corner cleared off the line on the stroke of half-time.
The Hares had the opportunities to regain the lead in the second half and ironically, during their strongest spell, Histon scored the winner on the break.
The Hares then went close from a corner and another goal-line clearance but couldn’t get that vital goal. PoM was Emma Searle and there was a strong debut from 16 year-old Megan Tombs.
