ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Leverington Sports and FC Parson Drove enjoy Senior Cup success over ICA Sports and Oakham Utd

In midweek, a first-half goal from James Tricks and further strikes by Nicholas Davey, Kieran Hamilton and William Smith earned Drove a 4-0 triumph at Leverington.

ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division sides Leverington Sports and FC Parson Drove both enjoyed Peterborough Senior Cup success on Saturday.

Drove demolished fellow Premier rivals ICA Sports 10–0 while Leverington defeated Oakham United 1–0.

In midweek, a first-half goal from James Tricks and further strikes by Nicholas Davey, Kieran Hamilton and William Smith earned Drove a 4-0 triumph at Leverington.

Long Sutton Ath Reserves bagged their first win of the Division Two campaign, 1-0 at Oakham Res. Tydd Reserves picked up their first point of the Division Three season, 2-2 at home to Orton Rangers.

Leverington Sports ‘A’ made it two wins out of two Division Four games with a 3-2 victory at Netherton United ‘A’.

In plus-30 centigrade temperatures, both sets of players coped well in a close game.

The Hares took the lead on 20 minutes via Abby Grist. Five minutes later Leverington’s Sophie Swinden equalised. On 35 minutes, Grist gave the Hares a 2-1 half-time lead.

Leverington on 83 minutes equalised but a late lob from ‘Hare’ Josie Turner won it.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the Hares’ up and coming sponsored walk up Ben Nevis, with more than £200 raised.
