Former England Ashes-winning captain delights audience at annual March dinner

March Town Cricket Club's annual dinner was held in the pavilion on Friday evening.

More than 70 club members and guests enjoyed a four-course dinner served by Richardson's caterers.

The guest speaker was the former Ashes-winning England captain Mike Gatting who entertained the audience with an abundance of cricketing tales and anecdotes from his glittering career.

Gatting is probably remembered for being dismissed by Australian Shane Warne's first ball in test cricket back in 1993 by what many called the 'ball of the century.'
