Fyson double earns Long Sutton draw

Sutton had Tom Baguley return to the heart of the defence, however the away side took the lead midway through the first half.

Harrison slipped the ball to Fyson whose sharp reverse stick shot found its way past the keeper low to his right. The half finished 1-1.

Waltham got themselves back in front with a counter attacking goal. Fyson replied twice, but Sutton couldn’t hold onto the lead.

PoM: Fyson. Sutton next weekend have a must-win game away to Harleston Magpies.

LSHC 3rd 5 Bourne Deeping 4ths 4

With the returning Will Cook, Gary Hales, Matt King and John Sullivan in the line up things looked promising.

Goals seemed to come for Sutton including a penalty flick successfully scored by hat-trick hero Hales. The first half was full of good play, ending 4-1.

The Bourne pressure showed in defence, including goalkeeper Albert Slator who saved a penalty flick, and Sutton managed to hold on.

MoM: all 12 players.

Ian White’s penalty stroke was smartly saved which spurred everyone on.

Josh Baker’s good run and shot was saved but White cleverly slotted home the winner. The defence stood firm with Josh Ripley playing his best game. Special thanks to Lewis Shooter and Luke Proctor for coming in at the 11th hour.
